Applied IT wins SME Business Growth Award

Last night at the Conquest Business Events Annual Awards Evening, organised and run by Pam Woods,  Applied IT scooped the hotly contested SME Business Growth Award 2010.

In front of a packed audience of local business people at the Swan Hotel, the awards ceremony was opened by Alistair Burt MP who in his speech stressed the important contribution made by SME business to the recovering economy, he made it clear that the quality of entries had been very high and the judges had had to work hard in their deliberations.

The SME Business Growth Award was presented by Councilor Ken C Matthews, the Portfolio Holder for Economic Growth, Skills & Regeneration. He highlighted the impressive and consistent track record of Applied IT over the three year period and attributed their success to a straightforward business model that aligns the interests of the customer with that of their IT provider. He went on to explain that Applied IT charge a fixed fee on a rolling monthly contract, for which they provide the complete service normally enjoyed by companies with an in-house IT department, including unlimited help desk, same day equipment repair or replacement, advice on IT, hardware and software at the right price and 24/7 system monitoring. He was impressed that their strategy of business networking had been the source of a stream of referrals from satisfied customers and business partners.

The award was accepted by Stewart Peart, MD of Applied IT and Mandy Andrew the Operations Director.

In an interview conducted later by Judy Oliver for Local News TV, Stewart said that the award was recognition of the hard work put in by Applied IT’s skilled and enthusiastic technical team who go beyond the call of duty to deliver great customer service
